Power generators for Ukraine

‘Last April, Aidocean brought us 40M3 of equipment and brought 24 refugees back to Toulon. Now we need warmth for the schools,’ asks Slavik from Korolevo in Ukraine.
‘The aim of this second mission is to send generators to schools in the village of Korolevo in the Carpathians,’ says Marine Bayer, president of the humanitarian association Aidocean.
‘We need to gather together generators, but also small paraffin stoves, candles, duvets, blankets and food for the children,’ explains Georges Zapolsky, who is the liaison officer in permanent contact with Slavik.
On 30 January, three vehicles driven by six drivers will leave Toulon for the long journey to Korolevo. We are counting on a week to complete the 4,000 km mission.
26/01/2022: With four days to go, eleven generators will be ready to leave for KOROLEVO in Ukraine. Immense gratitude to the generous donors who are participating, sharing and joining this humanitarian and solidarity mission.
‘With the generators that left last month, this is a magnificent result. Unfortunately, we’re still 1,500 euros short of what we need to hire a bigger vehicle and increase our carrying capacity. It’s a shame because, for the time being, we’re going to have to leave some emergency equipment behind’.

‘Thanks to the support of the town of La Seyne, the association received four generators last month. Two have already been delivered to Ukraine and we’d like to take twelve with us’ continues Pascal Magueres.
‘Just like last year, with Théo, Pascal, Georges and Marine, not to mention Mehdi who will be staying behind, we’re a great, united team,’ concludes Hugues Herreman.
Update of 5 February 2023:
After 2000 kilometres across Europe to reach Korolevo in the Carpathians, Aidocean has delivered the eleven generators to the village schools. It was a day shared with the local councillors, who are delighted that some 3,400 children will be able to go back to school from next Monday and that almost 800 adults will once again have access to electricity.
On the second day, the French delegation met the Governor’s Chief of Staff in Oujhorod. We learned that 2,700 orphans live in the region.
The mission ended with Anton Pavlovitch, mayor of the Korolevo district, and Marine Bayer signing a memorandum of understanding to set up a home for orphans in Korolevo in the Carpathians.
Aidocean would like to thank all the donors who have once again rallied to this mission, and in particular Florence Burnham and her friends. Thanks to the eleven generators brought to Korolevo, more than 4,200 people will now have electricity again.
